Corned Beef and

deppler’s baby swiss on rye

 

ingredients

  • 1/2 lb corned beef

  • 1/2 lb Deppler’s Baby Swiss

  • 12 slices of rye bread

  • 1/2 cup thousand island dressing

  • 1/4 cup salted butter

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

  • Cooking spray

 

Recipe

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. Slice your Deppler’s Baby Swiss.

  3. Line the baking dish with 6 slices of bread. Alternate placing slices of corned beef and cheese on each piece of bread. We used two slices of each per sandwich, but you can add more for a heartier meal. We recommend keeping the ratio of meat to cheese 1:1 for optimal flavor.

  4. Drizzle with thousand island dressing and place the other 6 slices of rye on top.

  5. Melt your butter in a small pot on the stove or in a small bowl in the microwave. Add the onion and garlic powders, then evenly brush the tops of the sandwiches with the butter mixture.

  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Carefully remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven, slice, and enjoy!
